We invite you to view a replay of the seminar, “Challenge to Achieve 100% Fertilization Rate – The Future of ICSI Evolved by Assisted Sperm Fusion Insemination (ASFI),” presented by Dr. Hatakeyama, Laboratory Director, Yanaihara Women’s Clinic, Kanagawa, Japan. Sponsored by REPROLIFE, this session was delivered to a capacity audience at the 70th Annual Meeting of the JSRM/IFFS World Congress 2025 in Tokyo.
Summary:
For over 30 years, ICSI has been the standard technique for intracytoplasmic sperm injection, bringing countless lives into the world. However, the unavoidable risk of oocyte degeneration due to membrane disruption has led to the loss of some potential lives.
To overcome this challenge, Assisted Sperm Fusion Insemination (ASFI) was developed as a new microinsemination technique that achieves fertilization without damaging the cell membrane, effectively preventing oocyte degeneration. This technique goes beyond the limitations of conventional ICSI and is gaining attention as a safer and more effective option for infertility treatment.
In this seminar, we will explore the details of this innovative technique and its clinical significance.
